Well can't believe this day has come.. I wasn't really prepared to say "Goodbye" to my very very close friend. He called me to meet up with him in the evening (FRIDAY) and have the new "Burj Al Emlaaq" with him. Well so there I was walking towards him and I could swear I saw him wiping his eyes.
Just at that moment everything sunk in. He was actually leaving.. no more messaging, no more long phone conversations, no more trips to the cinemas, no more baskin robbins, no more golden sands 10, no more quotas.. its not that I would stop going to the cinemas or baskin but it won't be the same again..
So we started talking and he refused to take 10 bucks from me which I owed him (I owe him a lot more). We entered baskins and ordered two "burj al emlaaq" (it sucks! 18bucks!) ... he started talking and I just kept listening and gulping down the sundae.. (my god.. there's so much brownie in it.. it made me fart every minute)...
We shared old moments and laughed out loud on the funnier ones.. we went to spinneys checked out some movies.. met up with Zubin.. time went by.. we went outside and started walking back and forth spinneys sharing old memories.. finally I get a call from my sister and she asked me to come infront of spinneys and get in the car.. Imran and I walked ahead.. I said goodbye and shook his hand.. (big mistake!) He said "arey bhai no hug"... (actaually I felt disgusted not hugging him .. I thought If I hugged him he might just burst out crying..I already saw him crying and believe me it is not a pretty sight) but after he said that I did hug him and told him to stay in touch...)
So there it was the farewell moment ..not really how I expected it to be.. it was better than my expectations.. I have know him for a very long looooooooooooooooooong time, never thought one day I'd be saying goodbye to him..
Anyway.. Imran my dear friend.. I wish you the best of luck and hope you have a bright and prosperous future. You will be in canada my friend but your memories will be with me, here in Dubai!
