finally...

heyyy everyone... sorry, for some reason blogspot is blocked in pakistan... but sometimes it slips up and works... so excuse the absence:S... anyway, i'm home for a few days, got about a week off between terms... so i can check the blog in peace. nice to see everyones been posting, i'll put up some pics soon too.. apart frm that all's well... this past term was SO quick, i mean firs tthere was Ramadan, then Eid and then... its like im back here in no time... on top of that LUMS actually has like 10 week terms so they literally get over realllyyy sooon... its like 10 weeks of full on pressure... and then a week of (i.e now).. and then 10 more... etc!
anyway, i'm off for now... you all take care... keep posting! till next time...

It's been a while.

I realise that I've been rather absent from the blog, but now I'm here to make up for it all.

School is great. I'm enjoying myself at Middlesex, and driving up and down in my new car. People are nice and friendly, professors are nice and know who I am, and the workload isn't killing. The best thing is I don't have exams because my program is such. At least, most of my courses are coursework based, very few have exams, and those will only happen in later years of study.

I'm volunteering for the Dubai International Film Festival from the 11th to the 16th at Cinestar Cinemas at the Mall of the Emirates, so if any Dubai people come that way during that week, you'll probably see me standing there, doing something. I'm not sure what exactly, but I'll be doing something.

Nothing else particularly exciting to write about here. I've had to submit an essay on Al Jazeera's new English channel, so I've been asking people in India to find books for me because Dubai has nothing, not even the public libraries. Yup, I checked the public libraries. Have you even been inside any public library in Dubai? I thought not.

So before I stretch this any further, I just wanted to say that it's nice to hear that people are okay and alive. Just like me.

as you mite have guessed...the time right now is 5:48am...wat am i doing up at this ungodly hour you ask.....I CANT SLEEP!!!!
have lectures at 9am so decided to stay up for em....and all i have to entertain myself is my computer...wich is not so bad actualy...been popping pro plus pills all friggin nite(pro plus is a caffeine pill that keeps you up).......nothing much to report on my end....mohannad came down a couple of weeks ago for the weekend....was awesome...loads of fun....i took him to a house party where he decided to pull my ex house mate back in dorms...she was on my floor and we used to take the piss out of her for being realy butch...lol....i had to save him before he did something stupid...then saturday nite i took him to our local union club on campus....and he got along realy well wid my uni friends....apparently cardiff is realy dead so he loved it....

guys is it just me or is being at uni on your own and stuff is fun but its a bit overrated wid all the pressures and responsibility...i mean seriously....wat wid all the banks, rent, budgeting, paying bills!!!!!running a house is frigging hard!!!!its not as easy as it seemed wen we were wid our parents...noone told me its gonna be this HARD!!!!

aite anyway i will save you from the rantings of a sleep deprived paki boy...gonna go watch family stone cos theres nothing else to distract me....speak to you guys soon
