Aw man, abeera, you just brought back soo many memories!! i'm wondering how weird it'll be when i go back too now.. i actually hadn't thought about it but i probably WILL end up going to D.Gem to pick my brother or something...hmm..

anyway, so today was my last exam of my first quarter at uni. and one heck of a weird paper it was:S.. first an hour of multiple choice and then a 15 minute break, and then another hour of very looong structured questions. just looking at all those typed paragraphs on one page put me off:S... oh well.. anyway its over now so it doesnt matter... alot of mu friends have already left for their 'homes', its just a couple of us here now.

LUMS itself is pretty crowded though, coz they're having this model-UN things going on... teams of students from schools around pakistan.. so theres a whole bunch of O/A level kids everywhere.. i'm saying that like i wasnt in A levels myself a few months ago.. but still, its weird, they give you that look:S... they had this thing called the global village where each country's representatives had like a lil stall and all tht... and freee food!!! heehee... yup.. lotsa free cake and pastries and all tht:D

The Experience of entering Dubai Gem as an Ex.

Hello there,

Blog's on a low nowadays. Hope all your exams/mid terms are going well.

Went to school today for my little sister's ballet show.Had no intention of visiting the senior school because I just wasnt ready to face a completely new faculty.And awkward it felt.

Like a million new teachers have joined. Met Mrs.Poonam, Mrs.Egbert, Mr.Fazlur, Mrs.Sheeba, Mrs.Bella and Mrs.Magoo(Librarian)

Talking to the latter two reminded me of Zubin SO MUCH!

Do any of you remember the incident where Mrs.Bella gave this huge speech of her having some sort of dream where she realised that she was "God's chosen One"??

LOL! how we laughed after Zubin narrated the story.That guy's got a knack of explaining everything hilariously.

The minute Mrs.Neelam spoke was just TOOOO MUCHHH TOO HANDLE..all those memories of Zubin sitting hidden from the librarian's view and imitating her came flashing back.

Damn Damn Damn, everything and everywhere I loooked I recalled some incident or the other.

The time near the labs where we all packed up food and clothes for the Tsunami, the Zubin and Mrs.Sheeba Fiasco, the time where Majid took the burette to Mr.Aslam instead of getting the solution towards his working table, Faisal spilling silver nitrate (was it?) in the Bio lab, Saif eating pieces of Carbon trying to convince everyone that its actually Carbon dioxide,Nishath with her "Miss,Im going to start crying"during Chem, the trip to Aseela and it goes on and on and on.


Right, I guess I just carried on.

Its been some time since i posted, so i thought...well, i should post!

anyways i was wondering who all of u guys have watched the tv show 'lost'?. ive been watching it for some time now and thought it would be a nice topic for discussion on the blog (if any of u have seen it)...

Btw, if u aren't watching it, ur missing out big time...

anyways nothing much more to report from here except that winter has arrived rather early with the temp reaching down to -10 today with snow and all...

Ahhhhhh.. what more can I say...

I can't hair you..

Alrite...
I just had my first hair cut today..
As in my first hair cut in Canada.. you hairy perverts...

Anyway so I go to "First Choice Hair Cutters" which is near my campus..
And for the first time a lady barber (or shall I say barbaress) cut my hair..
Now its really weird when a woman was doing it.. cause hey you get the picture..
The most embarassing part was when she started running her fingers in my hair.. it felt soo good that I wanted to laugh.. and I guess she noticed me smiling.. It was so hard to control.. a lady barber.. oh god..
She wasn't really hot.. but who cares..

Anyway she got really excited when I informed her that it was my first hair cut in Canada..
She was like "ohhhh.. then i'll make sure its a memorable one"

At that point.. I swear if I hadn't squeezed my lips tightly I would've laughed out loud..

Oh god.. anyway she was alrite.. she cut my hair the way I wanted..
And she told me this is gonna be one of many hair cuts that you are gonna have here..

Snow.. as white as Snow White...

Alrite.. today Nov. 17th.. I woke up at 7.50.. but decided to get up from bed at 8.. I had to get ready for a Chem Lab at 8.30
By 8.25 I leave my res.. the moment I get out.. this sudden wind chill just hits me.. and then I notice "foam" (u know the foam from those pparty sprays).. but in the next second I realise that it is snow..
That made me so happy.. my first snow.. damn.. actually they were flurries.. but they were still snow..
Anyway it wasn;t snowing heavily though.. it was pretty light.. think of it like light rain.. very subtle..
But anyway it was freezing..
Later on during the day.. at around 2.20 PM I had a Physics Class to attend.. as I was walking towards my class however it started snowin again.. and this is was like heavier than the previous one.. and it kept on getting stronger.. my black sweater was full of pea sized snow.. I wanted to stay out long but I couldn;t miss the class.. half way through class I looked outside the window.. and oh god.. It was actually snowing properly.. the pea size snow was like the size of hail.. and it was falling rapidly.. everything seemed white for liike 15-30 seconds..
Anyway.. it stopped pretty quickly. When I walked out.. it was so cool to see snow on some areas on the ground like the pavement and the grass..

Anyway after that there was like light snow throughtout the day.. Later on at 7.45 I leave for my uncle's place.. as the bus was moving uphilll I realised that it was snowing even more now.. this time when I caught some of the ice.. i could make out the shape of the ice which we see in movies.. it was so weird.. all the ice had that same shape.. and the moment i get out of the bus.. I ws shocked to see.. the road.. the houses.. the cars.. all covered with snow.. Ahh.. guys.. believe me it was beautiful..
Anyway it was a wonderful experience.. one that I will cherish for many years..

Well today, the festival of lights, is supposed to be a happy day for me but unfortunately it's not. I have 3 midterms and 1 quiz over the next 3 days so it's rather sad...

But you know what, SCREW THAT! I'm gonna have fun anyways...

Diwali brings back some...uh..rather exciting memories for me and also for a couple of my fellow bloggers i'm sure...
None of which was more exciting than our first encounter with the law while we were burning crackers...I'm sure you guys know the details so i wont bore you with that...
