Uneventful Lahore

Oh, so suddenly the blog's all about Shalini and Faisal eh? HA! herei am to break the monotony, saving the blog, once again. Anyway, people. hows it going? Its been alright here, everything seems so... regular. Like its exactly how i left it! All the work's been slowly creping up these first few weeks, so now its siddenly gotten a lil hectic. Oh and by the way, Ramadan Mubarak to everyone...! you have to excuse me for being late, Ramadan started like 2 days later in Pakistan than the rest of the world...i dontknow know, go figure:S... sooo i'm technically not that late in wishing everyone, seeing as its only just my 4th fast today..

Anyway, sooo after 3 months of like, proper summer in Dubai, i saw rain the other day after sooo long. Was just sitting in my room and it just suddenly started raining like craaaazy... was soo nice. the empty grounds and all were like fillled with water...lookes like a giant swimming pool in the midle of nowhere-- pakistani drainage systems, what can you say. i was actually supposed to be getting some work done before class but i jus couldnt miss the rain... enjoying it while i still like it. a couple of more times, and then it'll just get annoying!

Hey you know what? i might've told some of you this already but... I was talking to this woman next to me on the plane here, and you know what she told me? Her husband and her had won that Citibank draw for 2 tickets to go to Germany for the world cup semis.... so she was telling me about her amazing all expenses paid trip... stayed in the Hyatt... Went to all those places we heard about on the news in those days... saw that amaaazing 2-0 Italy-Germany semifinal!!.. ughh.. imagine.. lucky butt!

And the most annoying this was... the woman couldn't say the word 'Germany' properly... you know what she kept calling it? 'German'...as in, 'mujhe German bohot acha laga....German mein mausam acha tha... German ki team match haar gayi...'...lol, maaaan...
