Review: The first time I heard about this movie was on Channel 2, but like every good movie on it, I missed it. Then when I saw it was on the www.imdb.com Top 250 Movies List, I realised, I should see it!

The story is UNIQUE for a Romantic Comedy. Actually, calling it a Romantic Comedy isn't doing it justice. It's a movie, which actually makes you think.

The story's pretty straightforward. Bill Murray, who's a sarcastic, egocentric Weatherman, is sent to this place (I forget the name, small town though) to cover the festivities of what is 'Groundhog Day'. It falls on February 2nd, and so, as the day goes by, he does his job, and is about to return home, when a blizzard blocks all the roads going out of town.

Forced to stay for an extra day, he wakes up the next morning, only to hear on the radio that, "IT'S GROUNDHOG DAY!!!"

Obviously, a feeling of deja vu sets in, and he seems to be repeating everything he did the previous day...

So, he has to spend another day in town, due to the blizzard. The next morning...guess what..."IT'S GROUNDHOG DAY!!!"

Now, things start getting weird for him, as you can imagine.

What this movie does is make you wonder, what if I lived the same day over and over and over again... What would I do?

This is one of the few comedies that actually made me think, that too after the movie was over! It's the kinda movie you can sit and talk about for hours. And don't forget, it's a comedy, not a serious film.

The acting in this movie, well, what can I say? Lots of the scenes are repeated, with just certain differences here and there, and this must've been difficult to do.

The movie never gets boring, and Bill Murray is really quite a treat to watch.

Actually, calling it a Romantic Comedy isn't doing it justice at all...
