BOOK REVIEW - 'Angels & Demons' by Dan Brown

Angels & Demons Posted by Hello

Obvious isn't it, that the first book review of the blog had to be by me? I guess I am left with the responsibility of bringing a little bit of culture to this blog.
So on this historic post, let me bring a little order to the whole reviewing frenzy that has gripped our beloved blog.

Name of Book: Angels & Demons

Author: Dan Brown

Pages: 567 (I think)

Genre: Thriller

Rating: 4.5/5

Review: Well, Angels & Demons, as the name suggests, is a book whose story is deeply rooted in Religion. Those who've read Dan Brown books will know about his fascination with the Catholic Church, as was evident in 'The Da Vinci Code'.

However, where his other books have floundered, apart from Deception Point which I'm still reading, this book has a very solid and satisfying ending.

It is a typical Dan Brown book, starting off with a murder, and the entire story taking place in the span of a single day. His use of facts and fiction in order to create a book which itself is difficult to categorise as either fact or fiction, makes for an interesting read. With the story moving at break-neck speed, and each chapter ending with a cliff hanger, this book is sure to keep you awake at night wanting to read more.

The story starts with a murder (obviously), of who or where, we don't' know. Suddenly the location shifts to the United States, where Havard Professor of Symbology (the study of symbols and the like) Professor Robert Langdon is woken up in the night by a mysterious phone call...

He receives a fax, with a picture of...

I really can't tell you more, as that would be giving away too much of the story.

Read the book, find out for yourself.
