BOOK REVIEW - The devil's alternative

Book name: The devil's alternative
Author: Frederick Forsyth
Genre: Political Thriller/ suspense
Recommended to me by: Dhiraj Sajnani (i have to thank him for this)

For the purpose of flexibility, i will rate this review and my future ones on a scale of 10.

Well, this book was highly recommended to me by the Dhiraj who said that this was his favourite book. After reading it, i'm not surprised.

The plot of the book is something that i would rather not reveal in this review as it would spoil it for you guys. This is because until half way through the book i did not know the plot myself. Infact there were several sub-plots that seemed to be heading in no common direction. The way these sub-plots come together midway through is a work of art itself.

The climax of the book is one of the best i have ever read and it will take the reader completely by surprise. Also, the manner in which the climax is bought to our attention is such that i have never read before.

To be honest with you, i had never read nor heard of any of Frederick Forsyth's books before. After reading this one, im sure that will change.

My rating: 9.5/10 (no book is a perfect 10. this is about as close as it gets)
